Mozilla and LG debuted in the Japanese market with an extravagant model like LG Fx0. It is a smartphone with 4.7 inch screen and other components that put the team in the midrange. However, the identifying features of the phone are newly introduced -Firefox operating system OS 2.0- and gold-tone casing and transparent plastics.
The design is one of the points that smartphone makers have to offer its best to launch products that stand out above the rest. LG course, in partnership with Mozilla, it has become possible with the new LG Fx0. The model is not only different inside to include Firefox OS 2.0, but the aesthetic section is notable for its transparent housing.

No doubt that the LG Fx0 is a somewhat special model. The shapes of the casing measures 139 x 70 x 10.5 mm and weight of 148 grams, no marked differences as they draw the profile of a typical smartphone brand. They are the materials used and the color which make clear that the LG Fx0 attract all eyes, either by appealing or quirky. And the model wears a body dominated by gold and a rear transparent plastic cover that exposes part of the components of the phone such as battery, camera, SIM card slot and part of the electronic circuits. In the front highlights the physical Home button is adorned with red fox icon depicting the emblem of Mozilla Firefox.
The truth is that the decision to opt for a transparent housing is closely related to the association of LG with Mozilla. And the Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka wanted to reflect on the LG Fx0 transparency of the operating system including the smartphone natively, Firefox OS 2.0.

In essence, the LG Fx0 is a typical mid-range smartphone. As announced by the manufacturer, this model includes 4.7-inch screen resolution 1280 x 720 pixels, which yields a density of 312 dots per inch. At the wheel of the team is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with quad-core architecture and 1.2 GHz which in turn includes a GPU Adreno 306. This SoC causes that the LG Fx0 available 4G connectivity. Furthermore, the group has 1.5 GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and support for microSD cards up to 64 GB. The multimedia part is supported by a set of primary and secondary eight 2.1-megapixel cameras respectively. Finally, the autonomy of the set is determined by a battery with 2,370 mAh capacity.
As already indicated, the LG Fx0 be available in Japan through KDDI operator. In principle, the starting price will be about 340 euros and no news for the manufacturer to consider first smartphones Firefox expand to other markets.
