Toshiba Portégé Z20t with Intel Core M

The recently emerged Toshiba Portégé Z20t has now officially introduced the 12.5-inch display, Intel Core M processor and stylus. This confirms the information that surfaced a few days ago. The company has in the new Convertible not only improved a little, but clearly developed a new model. It seems no longer so bulky as yet the Portégé Z10t – but like a true modern business Ultrabook, at which remove the display and can use the tablet. The prices are not known, the term shall be by a second battery in the tablet but rich in 16 hours.

The Toshiba Portégé Z20t scores at us in the first place with a chic design. It appears slim, modern and finally as a normal 2-in-1 Detachable Ultrabook. As expected, is a 12.5-inch Full HD IPS display is used, which has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Whether the surface is still reflective, we did not know before. For a Wacom-Digitizer is still installed and thus handwriting with a stylus are possible . But this can probably still not be stowed in the case. It is driven Tablet by the Intel Core M-series – of course no fan and thus passively cooled. Since the market launch is planned until the first quarter of 2015 are not yet determined the exact models. Maybe Toshiba has then already on the newer generation with more power. There are up to 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSDs. The individual divisions are unfortunately not known. Presumably Toshiba is planning several versions for different markets.

Other features of the Toshiba Portégé Z20t include a micro-HDMI port, Micro-USB and microSD slot on the tablet directly. On included keyboard dock gets you an additional HDMI and RGB port and two USB 3.0 ports. There is also WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and Gigabit LAN. Optionally there will be models with UMTS or LTE. Otherwise, there is a 5 MP camera on the back and a full HD camera on the front.

The keyboard dock the Toshiba Portégé Z20t not only houses a backlit keyboard and a touchpad, but it also has a second battery. The tablet comes alone to 8 hours, while it put together up to 16 hours. By the new mechanism, the tablet can be placed in both directions and thus additional modes are enabled. A total of 799 grams of the tablet takes on the scale at a thickness of 8.8 mm. Together with the keyboard dock it be 1,590 grams and 21 mm. Prices are as I said not yet known. The operating system is Windows 8.1 unmistakably used.
