Google goes ahead with one of the most anticipated projects has generated in the past year. Project Tango is the tablet with 3D capabilities being conducted by the former division of Motorola Google ATAP. Following the announcement of a developer version just before the summer, it’s time to move to take a new step, put the device available to all users who want to participate in improving this technology. Already have your page on Google Play, and hopefully soon I can buy.
As explained on occasion, the Project Tango tablet is equipped with a full pack of depth and motion sensors that give you the ability to create spaces, objects and even real people in three-dimensional images. Although the idea seems well underway, the real challenge will be to bring this technology to users, making it a consumer product, a development that could be the alternative that is not yet.
The hardware configuration of the device is simply stunning. It features a 7-inch screen with resolution 1920 x 1200 pixels, the processor that drives this machine is a Nvidia Tegra K1 (it’s Nexus 9), and is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The main camera uses a 4 megapixel sensor ultrapĂxel technology, and has everything you need in terms of connectivity: NFC, WiFi, and 4G BLTE.
As you can imagine, the price is not exactly affordable. To get an idea, the developer kit announced in June it cost over 1,000 euros. Therefore, it is not an option for someone who simply interested in this concept, but for advanced users who want to participate in the process of adapting to the market and improve the device. Its design is not an aspect that has yet polished, with dimensions of 119.77 x 196.33 x 15.36 mm and 370 grams.
As you see, has its own page on Google Play, and we will soon have money and can be purchased. The future of tablets is closer than ever, let’s see how long it takes Google to shut it and we can see the end result.
Project Tango takes another step and reaches Google Play
