The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is updated with function reversible display

Galaxy Note Edge is updated with function reversible display

Samsung chose the last edition of the IFA fair in Berlin to present the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 most famous tablet phone. However, the Korean manufacturer surprised us with another team, which also forms part of the Note range but has a very interesting feature. We talked about the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, a terminal which shares the big screen and the stylus to Note series, but adds that curves over the right edge surround screen. This part is used as a toolbar that can change depending on the application in which we find ourselves. We can show notifications, time, music playback controls or shortcuts to different applications. It is an innovative idea that can be quite practical, but has a drawback. As the Edge Display is right, we greatly limits when hold, especially for left-handed users. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is already on sale in some countries and Samsung has released an update that fixes this problem.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a limited edition that eventually will sell in more countries than expected. In this sense, we should not expect the launch of an issue with the curved screen left for those they find most comfortable. However, Samsung has devised a quicker solution is already coming to Samsung Galaxy Note Edge as an upgrade. The screen cannot move sideways, but the content itself. The update includes a reversible display mode which allows the image to fully rotate when we subject mobile backwards. Thus the Edge display is on the left and can handle with the other hand without problem. If we return to the original design, just hold the phone in the normal position and the display will rotate.

When the terminal is upside down with the Edge screen to the left, a small menu appears at the bottom of the panel with buttons that are normally under the screen (home, multitasking and back). So we can access the same controls. It’s a pretty ingenious and simple solution, but while the screen image rotates, physical power and volume buttons are still in the same place and could find searching the volume key in the wrong place. The same applies to the microphone and speaker. If you are using the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge upside down, we have to turn around before answering a call, or else not hear anything.

As mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a limited edition, but it is possible that there is a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge 2 soon. Samsung may make the terminal fully reversible in this model, including microphone and speaker on both sides. There is also the possibility of an Edge screen that curve to both sides, but for now there is no data confirmed and Note Edge could stay in a single model.
