The Panasonic DMC-CM1 will also be sold in the UK

Panasonic DMC-CM1

The Panasonic DMC-CM1 was one of the most commented news of the Photokina show held in Cologne last September. It is a next-generation mobile Android attached to a Lumix camera with very interesting features. It also has very stylish and rather small dimensions, especially considering it includes an optical sensor of an inch and signed by none other than Leica.

The new Panasonic DMC-CM1 is presented as an elegant and stylish terminal that surprises with its design and the large Leica lens on the back. Despite the footprint this objective, the DMC-CM1 gets offer a lightweight look and modern thanks largely to its thickness of only 21.1 millimeters. The front part say, it would be back in a conventional camera, is completely dominated by the 4.7 inch screen. At the top we find the usual buttons on a smartphone, such as blocking or control knobs for volume, plus a dedicated button dedicated, of course, the camera shutter.

In the photographic section, the Panasonic DMC-CM1 highlighted by a performance worthy of an advanced compact camera. For starters, incorporates a sensor with a size of no less than one inch and 20-megapixel resolution. To get an idea of their performance, we will say it’s the same sensor that includes other Panasonic cameras such as super-zoom DMC-FZ1000. As the target, the DMC-CM1 has a fixed focal 28 mm and an aperture value of f / 2.8 lenses. As with most Panasonic Lumix cameras, this lens is signed by the prestigious German company Leica. Thanks to all the staff, the Panasonic DMC-GM1 allows us to take photos in RAW (uncompressed digital negative) format and videos with resolutions up to 4K.

Turning the phone, the DMC-CM1 is an Android device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor at 2.3 GHz, 16 GB of internal storage expandable via micro SD and 2 GB of RAM cards. The screen has a size of 4.7 inches and resolution Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and Android OS version is 4.4 or Kit Kat. The entire assembly has dimensions of 135.4 x 68 x 21.1 mm and weighs 204 grams.

Initially, the new Panasonic DMC-CM1 was only available to the German and French markets, with an estimated retail price of 900 euros public. But the increase in demand has made the company is raised to increase distribution in Europe, which has been announced that will be available in the UK. Hopefully demand will also increase in our country and that we can find the Panasonic DMC-GM1 soon in our windows.
