The Chinese company, TP-LINK, specializing in the production of computer and telecommunications equipment, announced the release of the budget wireless router model TL-WR840N. New product designed for home and small office, has support for standard 802.11n Wi-Fi with a maximum throughput rate of 300 Mbit / s, Dual Access and IPTV, as well as two built-in antennas with a gain equal to 5 dBi.

 The router TP-LINK TL-WR840N is equipped located on the rear panel 10/100 megabit-WAN-port and four 10/100 Mbit LAN-ports. The device supports IGMP Proxy, mode “bridge” and 802.1Q TAG VLAN for IPTV Multicast. There is also a support function PAS, which does not allow channel conflict by searching for an available channel, IP QoS (prioritization of traffic based on IP-addresses), parental control, by means of which the user can restrict access to certain Internet resources.


 The router supports WPA2 encryption for network security and fast set-up by pressing the WPS.
