Given the growing use of cameras with a large format sensor that can shoot video 4K, to work “in the field”, for example, when covering sporting events and documentaries, Canon has announced the lens Cine-Servo 50-1000mm T5.0-8.9 Ultra-Telephoto Zoom. According to the manufacturer, it is the long lens-zoom for Super 35mm format cameras with a sensor.


The lens also features a built-in teleconverter, increases the focal length by 1.5 times, and the plug-in unit Digital Drive, allowing the lens to adapt to the characteristics of television or film production.


 Lens construction includes a diaphragm with 11 petals. Its length is approximately equal to 40 cm, and weight – 6.6 kg. The lens comes with the EF mount and PL. Appropriate modifications were designated CN20x50 IAS H / E1 and CN20x50 IAS H / P1. Circle diameter of the image formed by the lens is 31.4 mm, which is enough to cover the sensor format Super-35. Among the cameras, with which you can use the lens, called the camera Canon EOS C500, EOS-1D C, EOS C300 and EOS C100.
