Will.i.am announces Puls - their new smartwatch with 3G connectivity

The singer of the Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.am, is also an entrepreneur in the world of technology and has its own brand, i.am +, where product and highlighted his particular case / camera for iPhone 5, to which has just added a new smartwatch with 3G, Puls capabilities.

 He had already taught last April when he was still only a prototype, but so far has not been the official presentation of Puls, the smartwatch that has financed and developed his own company and was supposed to launch the last July.

 At Dreamforce 2014 event, which already showed the capabilities of their product on stage and, arguably, DJ equipment on the wrist, this new wearable is not presented as a complement to a smartphone, but as a completely autonomous device.

 This makes a curious mixture of smartphone smartwatch and able to make calls; send messages, Internet browsing and e-mail management or social networks. A circular curved screen design is not given the exact size of this which is around 2 inches.

 The device features a fork of Android that has added its own voice assistant called “Any Day” which is made in collaboration with the company Nuance, the same technology behind Siri in Apple. According to Will.i.am, AneedA is sufficiently able to recognize speech and send messages without problems and emails while typing.

 A part of this, and its small screen, Touch has a virtual keyboard like Fleksy, Smart proofreading and word prediction.

 It does not have an app store but the usual pre-installed phone, contacts, maps, messaging, email, music and photos, a curious, called Vibe to detect the mood of the user.

 At the technical level, has a Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space. Actually, these are the only data from a specific sheet confusing something. One half of this particular wearable is where the microphone and battery, on the other hand, has a very poor range of 5 hours of continuous use and 60 minutes to recharge to 100% is hosted.

 The Puls has no camera, but the American artist has advanced to meet this being developed a glasses synchronized with the device and only focusing on being the camera for this one, no more complete as would be the Google Glass.

 With a price yet to be confirmed, different colors and models, including one luxury gold and diamond will be marketed in the USA by AT & T and in the UK through its subsidiary Telefónica O2.
