With the Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition, the Chinese manufacturer has 6 officially unveiled an upgraded version of the previous Huawei Honor. In this new HiSilicon Kirin 928 is used 8-core processor with rich 2GHz per core; the order will perform even more pronounced, as the recently announced in Huawei Ascend Mate 7 with processor Kirin 925. What remains however, it is in the not too big 5-inch Full HD display.
The Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition thus continues to hold a 5-inch full HD panel with 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is driven now by the HiSilicon Kirin 928 8-core processor, 2 GHz, which offers a decent performance boost over its predecessor. There are 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory which can be interestingly extended to up to 128 GB. Why this does not work when Mate 7, remains a mystery to us. With the new processor you get not only more power, but equally an LTE Cat. 6 Modem with up to 300 Mbit / s. The built-in fingerprint scanner Mate 7 has not, however, remain. This works surprisingly well here, but probably not fitted to this model. At 130 grams, the smartphone falls by the way pretty easily with such a battery and the size.
Other features of the Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition include a 13-MP main camera on the back, a 5 MP camera on the front and a 3,100 mAh battery which is permanently installed. With the extra power, the runtime could naturally fall somewhat. Huawei integrated for this case but various powers saving options that gives a good compromise between performance and running time. So counts in this model directly Android 4.4 KitKat for equipment – but you get more emotion UI 2.3. This is a shame, because the latest version of Mate 7 like it because something better.
The Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition comes with some accessories another feature. These include various Cases, Cover, a special protector, headphones, and much more. Unfortunately, it is not known what will cost the new smartphone. To Europe it will not come directly well, although we already look like the smartphone from the design and equipment.
