Microsoft has patented a smart glasses that recognize objects

Microsoft has filed a patent entitled “Behaviour-Wearable Vision System” (smart vision system based on behavior). The license consists of some augmented reality glasses very similar to the Google Glass. However, these not only recognize objects at a given distance, but it is also able to predict the behavior of them.

For example, Microsoft smart glasses will be able to recognize a car, find out in which direction and warn the user of any potential threat that may arise from the vehicle. In addition, the device also merge the real and the virtual. This implies that the terminal can recognize obstacles such as a chair or table, while you are playing a video game. The objects are displayed on the computer screen so that, in this way, the consumer does not clash with them.

Interestingly, this patent confirms, in a way, that Microsoft is working on a competitor to Google Glass. In November 2012 the company’s Redmond said he was making devices were able to connect with each other. Almost a year later, the rumor turned out the light. Now, with the application for this patent, we can be confident that the team Satya Nadella will launch a new pair of smart glasses.

In fact it is expected that this year, Microsoft will enter the market of smart clothes with the presentation of a smartwatch. There have been various leaks and already assumes that the multinational hopes to compete against watches from Samsung, LG and Motorola. However, as it seems, the mark is not merely submit a single device, but it could be two.

As indicated by the latest reports, the smart brand watch count eleven sensors and we can see it from October. We also know that the screen will be the inside of the wrist of the user. The decision to put it there and not on the outside would be because, according to the company, is the most natural way in which consumers could be informed of the time, weather and all the opportunities which the smartwatch.

Similarly, the team would have a similar design to that now offers the Nike + Fuelband, smart bracelet sports firm. The device Microsoft, meanwhile, will have sensors that tell us the state of our heart rate, a feature that is becoming increasingly popular among manufacturers wearables. What’s more, you would be able to synchronize with multiple mobile platforms, and not just Windows Phone. Thus, it would be compatible with iOS, the operating system of Apple and Android, the software of Google.

This new company strategy can be a good way to get increase profits of the multinational. However, still no official confirmation of being manufactured neither intelligent garments. So we will have to wait until September, when the technology fair in Berlin (held IFA), or even October to see if they have any of the devices smart glasses.
