The Asus ZenFone range currently has three different sizes of smartphones: four, five and six inches. Despite this variety, some users might want an intermediate terminal between the last two. Therefore, the Taiwanese company would be making a new smartphone that would have a 5.5-inch screen. This phone will be officially presented along with other models ZenFone at CES 2015, to be held in January next year.
Interestingly, DigiTimes says that Asus intends to market its mobile aggressively in the American market. It is assumed that this new line of smartphones will design improvements, the camera, and the user interface, memory and battery terminal. However, in terms of connectivity, only some of them will come to 4G. As you know, this feature allows you to browse high speed internet.
The truth is that the Asus ZenFones are quite economical, since their prices are between 100 and 300 euros. Therefore, we assume that the next generation of these devices will be just as affordable. In fact, we expect the terminal is 5.5 inches below 400 euros.
In addition, this smartphone is expected to be a high-end device, so you would have an acceptable value for money if compared with similar terminals. As for the screen, and know the inches you have, it is said to feature a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. So, have a density of over 250 ppi pixels.
Also, considering that the Asus ZenFone 6, the top range of the firm, runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, we assume that the 5.5-inch, at least, will come with the same software version. That if comes with preinstalled Android L, the latest version of Google’s platform for mobile and tablets. With it, the user will be able to enjoy more than one million applications offered his tent Google Play. Among the most popular are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google+.
As for internal memory, it is expected that the team comes with 32 gigabytes, as it is the largest amount that incorporates ZenFone 6 Similarly, we assume that we can expand via microSD or otherwise, with a storage system in the cloud like DropBox or Google Drive.
Earlier this year, Asus predicted it would sell five million ZenFones by the end of 2014 Now DigiTimes believes the company could sell seven to eight million units by the end of the year. But not only that. The medium also predicts that in 2015 the multinational sold about 16 million phones worldwide, double the previous year. However, keep in mind that these figures are only predictions, so we still cannot guarantee anything.
Similarly, to confirm all this information, we will have to wait until early January that is when you have scheduled the official launch of the next generation of Zenfones.
The 5.5-inch Asus ZenFone be presented in January
