HTC Re, the new HTC mini-camera

HTC Re mini-camera

Advance Double Exposure HTC event was held last night in New York. The Taiwanese company unveiled a new smartphone with two very advanced cameras, the HTC Desire Eye. However, it did not come alone. The thing was photography and HTC Re also presented a mini-camera bag with which you can take pictures and videos that are then transferred to our smartphone. It is similar to some action cameras like Go-Pro concept, but in a much more discreet amateur level. It has an unusual design, with a shape that fits your hand and has only one button to start recording or shooting. It has no display, but we have to see the result via smartphone or computer, when we download the images.

The HTC Re camera has a customizable design our hand and very compact with a weight of just 65.5 grams. It is also waterproof and allows us to dive to a meter deep water to take photos and videos. As mentioned, the camera has no screen to see the results, this will require synchronizing the camera with a smartphone through the official app, or download the images to your computer. The lens is the key to the pictures and videos come out well even if we are looking through a viewfinder as in conventional cameras. It covers up to 146th for anyone to get cut in a photo or a video is out. In addition the lens is very bright with an f / 2.8 aperture that can record in low light.

The sensor camera HTC Re is a 16 megapixel CMOS, which is 1 / 2.3-inch, which is not bad. Besides taking pictures, recording videos too, and does it in FullHD 1080p resolution. If we lower the resolution to 720p HD we can get a slow motion effect (4x) and also records time-lapse videos. It takes an integrated approach to capture sound and a speaker microphone. As you only have one button, the operations are the most simple. If we take a picture we just touch the button. In case you want to record videos holding down the button to start recording. The HTC Re has a sensor that activates as soon as we take, so I need not the kindle.

Applying the HTC Re is compatible with any Android smartphone that is on the Jelly Bean version 4.3 or higher. HTC wanted to reach more users and have also created a version for iPhone and iPad, which should be updated to iOS 7 or higher. It will go on sale this month in the United States, but more countries will follow soon. Currently there is no official price, but we know that will feature several accessories available to hook it anywhere.
