Chuwi DX1 - the world's first tablet with a PTZ camera

Chuwi DX1 - PTZ camera

Chuwi gets going. After we reported on a dual-boot tablet of the manufacturer yesterday, today comes the next Hammer: The Chuwi DX1. What the device so special and for whom it might be interesting, learn it here!

The past few months it was very quiet at the manufacturer, who has already brought some interesting tablets on the market. Now Chuwi there is again full throttle. This also fits the relatively innovative Tablet DX1. Relatively innovative because the concept – at least in smartphones – is not new: a rotating camera. What Oppo has shown with the N1 for the first time and produces good quality, has since been copied several times. In a Tablet, this technique never came however to use. In addition, the Chuwi DX1 not only in camera technology the Oppo N1 is similar, no, the design of the 7-inch tablet looks very similar to the Oppo-phablet. The rounded top and bottom and the slightly offset to the right camera is known theoretically already. Chuwi has created a quasi N1 Maxi here.

On the hardware side, the tablet is also relatively interesting. An MT8392 SoC should provide sufficient computing power. This chip could Christopher already very convincing in the Cube Talk 9X and should be adequate 1GB in Chuwi DX1 despite the slightly smaller memory. The display is relatively small with 7 inches and for some this is good maybe even as phablet. The resolution is 720p, not necessarily very lush, but it protects the battery, the very small precipitates with 3.000mAh, and provides better performance. Fortunately, even a 3G Modem on board , so you can always be online. The operating system is Android 4.4 for use and storage is 16GB, but is expandable via Micro SD.

Important of course is still the camera: This has a resolution of 13 megapixels and has an LED flash. The rotation is identical to the Oppo N1 with 206 degrees. Actually requires a rotating camera in a tablet if it remains to be seen, but really for the equivalent of just over 100 euros offers Chuwi DX1 much for the money and because you can view the rotatable camera simply as a nice gimmick.
