As part of the Intel Developer Forum 2014, the new one was Dell Venue 8 7000 presented with an unusual design, extremely thin design and very good technical equipment. The Edge-to-Edge display conveys at first glance a completely new design; the bottom has thus become almost too big. Anywhere the hardware and the particular cameras must also be accommodated.
The Dell Venue 8 7000 has an 8.4-inch OLED display from Samsung with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The display looks really extremely well not only because of the pixel density, but also because of OLED panels. With 6 mm it is the currently thinnest tablet in the world and is assisted by the latest Intel Moorefield quad-core processor driven, whose details have not yet been published. The clock should be in each case at 2.3 GHz per core, while the RAM with 2 GB really is nothing special anymore. In the combination, but the budget is unlikely to be sufficiently good to allow a very good performance. The internal memory is 16 GB and is expandable.
But the special thing about the Dell Veneu 8 7000 is also the real sense depth camera, which uses two 720p cameras on the back. With these two little further from each other cameras placed their distances measured to objects and thus the depth of the image are determined . So the size of a particular object can be determined, for example. Fits to corresponding apps are included that enable such measurements or different effects. The software itself does not seem to be one hundred percent mature, as you can see in the final video, but it should be up to the market launch yet optimized. In addition to the two 3D cameras there is also a normal 8-MP camera, and a front camera, the details are not yet known. The operating system is Android 4.4 KitKat used and the tablet is designed to provide a period of 2 days.
